Soulfood Sunday Salon with Katie Mitchell

The Tenth hosted Katie Mitchell, author and Atlanta-based bookseller, for a conversation about her book Prose to the People: A Celebration of Black Bookstores at Local Magic.

Prose to the People is a visually immersive tribute to Black bookstores across America. Curated by Mitchell—who also runs Good Books, an online and pop-up Black bookstore—it profiles over fifty independent Black bookstores through essays, one-on-one interviews, poetry, archival images, and more, with a foreword by Nikki Giovanni.
