Victoria ‘s weekly podcast unearths the lesser-known stories, people, and places that shaped Atlanta’s soul. Launched in 2018, Archive Atlanta now has over 100 episodes, each with the goal engaging Atlantans not just with the big landmarks but the little moments that actually define a place.

Counterpoint with the ASO: Flores Performs Márquez

The Tenth partners with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for Counterpoint: Flores Performs Márquez, an evening where music, conversation, and community come together. Guests will attend a performance led by five-time GRAMMY Award-winning Nicaraguan conductor Giancarlo Guerrero, guiding the ASO through a vibrant south-of-the-border immersion. The program draws from Afro-Caribbean, Central, and South American musical traditions, including the tango-infused Sinfonía Buenos Aires.

The evening also features renowned Venezuelan trumpet soloist Pacho Flores, who explores Mexico’s rich trumpet playing tradition through a work written by Arturo Márquez specifically for him. Prior to the performance, Counterpoint ticket holders are invited to a pre-performance reception hosted in partnership with The Tenth, with light food and drinks provided, creating space to gather, connect, and ease into the ideas that will unfold onstage.

Counterpoint with the ASO: Mozart's Jupiter Symphony

The Tenth partners with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for Counterpoint: Mozart & More, an evening where music, conversation, and community come together. Guests will attend a performance led by guest conductor Jörg Widmann, who opens the program with his own spirited composition Con brio. The program continues with Russian violinist Alina Ibragimova, whose fiery technique brings Mozart’s “Turkish” Concerto vividly to life. The evening culminates with Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony, the capstone of his symphonic journey, exuding grandeur, brilliance, and cheery nobility.

Following the performance, Counterpoint ticket holders are invited to a post-performance reception hosted in partnership with The Tenth, with light food and drinks provided, creating space to gather, connect, and reflect on the music.

Basura: A New Musical by Gloria Estefan with the Alliance Theatre

The Tenth partners with the Alliance Theatre for an evening where music, storytelling, and community come together with a special reception and performance of Basura. Guests will attend the world premiere of this bold new musical, co-written by nine-time Grammy Award® winner Gloria Estefan and her daughter, singer-songwriter Emily Estefan, inspired by the true story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra. The performance celebrates resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of music, as young artists turn scrap materials into instruments and possibilities into song.

Prior to the performance, Guests are invited to a pre-performance reception, where the creative team will guide them through key themes to watch for during the show, offering context and conversation to enrich the experience.
